SUMMARY:CROSS-Tokai to Co-host the 1st CROSS-JASRI Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In their respective roles as Registered Institution for J-PARC and SPring-8\, CROSS-Tokai and JASRI will co-host the 1st CROSS-JASRI Workshop on Monday the 16th of January\, 2012. \nThe research theme of the first joint workshop in this series is the application of pulsed neutrons and synchrotron radiation to interface analysis and\, in particular\, the study of solar batteries: a potentially vital technology in the future energy mix of Japan and other countries. \nThe workshop aims to bring together facility staff\, users and experts in the field to explore ways in which these two world-class research facilities (J-PARC and SPring-8) may contribute to and collaborate in meeting the research challenges currently being faced in solar battery R&D. \nMore information\n\n1st CROSS-JASRI Workshop – New Opportunities for Neutrons and SR in Solar Battery R&D –\nImage Gallery

SUMMARY:「第3回 MLFシンポジウム」開催

SUMMARY:CROSS-Tokai to co-sponsor the 3rd MLF Symposium
DESCRIPTION:CROSS-Tokai to co-sponsor the 3rd MLF Symposium\nCROSS-Tokai is an official co-sponsor of the 3rd MLF Symposium that will be held at the Ibaraki Quantum Beam Research Center (IQBRC) adjacent to the J-PARC site in Tokai over the period 19-20 January 2012. \nThe symposium is a unique gathering of J-PARC MLF stakeholders including the user community and all organizations that are part of the J-PARC project. Oral and poster presentations will cover topics including the status of the MLF facilities\, ongoing R&D projects and the outlook for the future.  Also an extensive science program will feature reports from members of staff and the user community across a broad range of themes. \nProgram highlights include a presentation by the Director of CROSS-Tokai\, Prof. Yasuhiko Fujii about the implications of government legislative policy and the role of CROSS-Tokai at the MLF\, and a special lecture by Prof. Hideo Ohno of Tohoku University on the subject of ferromagnetism in semiconductors. \nFor further information about the 3rd MLF Symposium please contact the Organizing Office at MLFsympo*ml.j-parc.jp or lodge an enquiry with CROSShelp by clicking on the icon above.
